C4D Pictures By Roy Burton. A few 3D rendered pictures created with C4D on a A1200 with a blizzard 030/50 an 32meg of fast RAM (Mighty oak and Joke). Also few 3D rendered pictures created with C4D on a A1200 with a Apollo 040/33 an 16meg of fast RAM (The clock model and pics). The clock model took three evening to build, starting with a non-perfect primitive sphere of about 112 segments and radius of 100. The sphere was modified using the magnet tool, to produce a low oval (Smarty) shape. A primitive cylinder was used with a radius of 80 and 112 segments, I then use the Boolean (a-b) feature using the cylinder to cut a hole into the top of the oval deleting the cylinder afterwards. next the glass was added in a simular fashion a 80 radius/112 segment low oval cut in half by Boolean with the aid of a cube. I then added 3 disks of radius 80 and 100 segments, these were lowered into the hole at various hights and will represent the clock face and two hands when textures are added. Two torus rings were added, one to the glass joint, and the other to the surround the face inside. The winder is a combination of cylinder/torus/sphere scaled down. Ppaint and ImageFX were used to produce the face. and PPaint for the hands. The trick to the hands in C4D is use transparency in the objects textures as in the example butterfly's wings on the C4D program, basically it makes the white parts of you texture transparent thus black hands on a white background, you will only see the black hands mapped onto your disks. Not forgetting the spindle for the hands made from a small cylinder. Please note you need to position the face and hand texture accurately using mapping tools and rotating the textures until correct. see page 123 of theC4D manual if you have it. or check out the buttons 5 & 6 the ones with the white textured rectangles in. 1/ A Moment In Time, a surreal freeze frame. A combination of models took about 2 hours to render on my 040/33 nearly run out of memory (16 meg) as the model was 1.4 meg. 2/ Mighty Oak, a unknown future of a planet. Background image generated in Vista Pro combined with C4D with Photogenics. 3/ Time Travel part of a 'time theme'. Tried to get the effect of movement without blurring the picture to much, with the help of ImageFX. 4/ Night Time a simple negative effect on a previous picture. 5/ Space and Time another angle on a theme. 6/ Joke ,I built up this picture starting with the sky then the icebergs and it developed from there. I am sure there is a good caption to add to it, but I could not think of a good one. Here's some of my feeble attempts:- a/ Did you see Snooker last night! b/ In about 1066 I think! c/ I hate those microwave meals! d/ The whole thing smells a bit fishy to me! sorry about that!
